USTradePrint is a wholesale commercial printing company based in La Mirada, California, serving print brokers, resellers, and agencies across California, Oregon, and Washington. With over 30 years of experience and a production team of 130+ technicians, the company offers an extensive catalog spanning books, catalogs, calendars, banners, signage, packaging, and display hardware — all produced in-house using offset, digital, and wide-format printing technology.
Project Objective
The goal of this engagement was to present USTradePrint’s full wholesale product range in a clear, business-focused structure that helps print brokers and resellers quickly locate products, understand specifications, and move from browsing to requesting a quote — without friction. Because the audience is B2B (brokers and resellers rather than individual consumers), the site needed to communicate trust, scale, and reliability at a glance while still making a large, technical product catalog easy to navigate.
The Challenge
Wholesale printing catalogs are naturally complex — dozens of product categories, each with multiple binding types, materials, and sizes (Perfect Bound, Spiral, Wire-O, and Saddle Stitch catalogs; multiple banner materials like mesh, scrim vinyl, and window perforated; several packaging carton styles, and more). The core challenge was avoiding the common trap of wholesale B2B sites: an overwhelming, cluttered catalog that buries the reseller’s actual need — getting a quote fast — under too many clicks. The site also needed to work seamlessly across devices, since brokers frequently check specifications and place orders on mobile while on the move between client meetings.
What Was Fixed & Improved
Several structural and usability issues were identified and addressed during the rebuild:
- Flat, unorganized product listing → Clear category hierarchy. Products were grouped into logical parent categories (Printing, Signs/Displays, Calendars, Books/Booklets, Packaging) with dropdown sub-navigation, so a reseller looking for “Wire-O Catalogs” reaches it in two clicks instead of scrolling through an undifferentiated list.
- No fast path to quoting → Prominent “Get a Quote” and “Reseller Login” actions. These were placed in the primary header navigation and repeated as contextual CTAs throughout product and category pages, shortening the path from browsing to inquiry.
- Generic presentation → Business-focused, trust-building layout. Sections like “130+ Experienced Technicians,” “15+ High-end Offset & Digital Printing Equipment,” and reseller testimonials were positioned early on the homepage to reassure a B2B audience evaluating a new print partner.
- Inconsistent mobile experience → Fully responsive design. Every product grid, navigation dropdown, and quote form was rebuilt to collapse gracefully on smaller screens, tested across phone and tablet breakpoints so brokers ordering from the field get the same clarity as on desktop.
- Unclear reseller pathway → Dedicated reseller onboarding flow. A simple three-step journey (Register & Upload → Review & Connect → Approval & Onboard) was introduced to make it obvious how a new reseller partner gets started, reducing hesitation and support queries.
